What is a Queue?

A queue is a data structure that organizes entities in a specific order, following the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) principle. This means that the first element added to the queue will be the first one to be removed, similar to how people line up in everyday situations. You join a queue from the back, wait for your turn, and then exit from the front once you've been attended to.

When running a process like an API request, if you need to offload a task such as sending an email, you can push that task into a queue and continue with the main process.
